Ed Hutton

Ed Hutton, 81 of Rogers, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006. He was born December 29, 1924 in Ozark, Arkansas to the late Robert and Ola Whitson Hutton. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, a member of Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, and an avid fisherman. As his children were growing up, he coached PeeWee, Little League, Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball and girls softball in Fayetteville. He was a retired rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Billie G. Hutton of the home; sons, Rick Hutton and wife Susan, Randy Boydston and wife Millie, David Bradley and Richard Bradley; daughters, Jeanette Phillips and husband Mark, Shirlene McConnell and husband Marc, Lynn Boydston Graham and husband Don and Holly Bradley; a sister, Rue Watts; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Virginia M. Hutton, an infant daughter, Lisa Kay Hutton, and a brother, Farl Dewitt Hutton.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, October 19th at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, October 20th at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel with Ralph Walker officiating. Interment with military honors will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
