Barbara Rissler, crossed from this life at age 84. She was born November 26, 1939 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, growing up in an Old Order Mennonite home. She married Ivan H Rissler on December 15, 1960. The young family had many adventures in different states, spending seven years in Arizona before moving to Oklahoma in 1979. She was widowed in September 1982 shortly after the birth of her second set of twins, completing her desire of having 12 children. Nubian dairy goats started a family legacy named, Price O’ The Field Nubians. She continued to raise and show goats with her children after the first National Champion winning in 1982. She also spent many happy hours sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren, gardening, and preserving food. She was a woman of faith and relied on God for His provision. “Living by faith” was what she said and how she lived. She taught her children biblical principles and always set aside time to worship and go to church. Barbara moved to Louisiana to live near her daughters in 2014. She remarried her widowed brother-in-law in 2017 and they had 18 wonderful months together. Through the ups and downs of growing older and having health issues, she remained positive and never lost her faith or her smile.
