Cody James Easley, 24 of Cherokee City, passed away Saturday July 27, 2019 at the Washington Regional Medical Center.
Cody was born on December 11, 1994 in Siloam Springs, a son of Teresa Higgs Easley Collins and Willie E. “Bill” Easley. Cody was a free spirit who enjoyed helping others. He was a self-employed entrepreneur who loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and hunting. He cut wood for many people and was always ready to lend a hand. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of the First Christian Church of Siloam Springs. As a last act of kindness to others Cody was an organ donor, that he may continue to help others lives.
He is survived by his parents, Teresa Collins and David Walters of Watts, OK., and Bill Easley of Cherokee City, AR; one brother, Caleb Saucedo of Pryor, OK; one sister, Cassie and husband Leonard King of Siloam Springs, AR; his grandfather, Edward Higgs of Gentry, AR; great grandmother Mary Farley of Siloam Springs, AR: his great aunt (grandmother) Frances Brown of Siloam Springs, AR; an uncle and aunt, Bryan and Shawna Shook of Gentry, AR and a cousin, Bryan Shook Jr of Gentry, AR; along with other extended family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Byrl Gene and Leanna Easley, grandmother, Mary Lou Carpenter aand great grand parents, Joy Dorothy Higgs and Edward Ronald Higgs.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Christian Church of Siloam Springs on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:00 am. Pastor Joel Rutherford will officiate the service, under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. To sign online guestbook please go to www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
