Dale Ingram Miller

Dale Ingram Miller, 91, died peacefully in the care of Circle of Life Hospice Home, Springdale, on August 8, 2025. The oldest son of Arthur Albert and Imo Gladys (Ingram) Miller, he was born in Lowell, Indiana.

Dale held a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a master's from the University of Utah, both in Mathematics. He taught for many years in the State of Michigan university system.

A proud Army Veteran, Dale achieved the rank of Captain while serving two stints during the

Korean conflict, one in Japan. He was a dedicated volunteer: he was a member of the Lion's Club since 1969; by 2018, he had been selling Vidalia onions for the Shriner's for 50 years. During the 1960s and 70s, Dale served as the President of the Highland Park College Teachers Union. After moving to Springdale in the early 90s, Dale became a Master Gardener and maintained flowers and plants around his home. He enjoyed college basketball and was a supporter of women's sports.

Twice a widower, he was preceded in death by his wife Marylynn "Lynn" Marie (Van Dyke) Miller, and wife Elaine (Van Camp) Miller; his parents; and one brother Sherrel Miller. He is survived by brother Randall Miller, of Arlington VA, and step-daughter and husband, Kathleen Van Camp and Michael Sovereign.

Dale was a loving husband, a loyal friend, a gentleman, and a scholar. His generous spirit will be missed.

Per his wishes, no services are planned. Final interment will be at White Chapel, Troy, Ml.
