I always had a great time whenever I ran into Derl. Maybe it was holding the drill or hammer while he put up some blinds in our house or talking about the times my mom made me go straight back into his barbershop to get some more hair taken off, but what a time we would have. He would laugh at me, then I would laugh at him. Derl was a great man and I will miss carrying on and laughing with him.

Went to church with Derl at a young age, He sang at my wedding in 85. We always had young adults at our grandmas and grandpas house one out of a lot of fun times we had watermelon and the next morning my mother got up and ask us why was there watermelon seeds on the cabinets and on top of the refrigerator we had a watermelon seed fight I’m sure we know who started it, anyway he wasn’t there so guess who got blamed. so many good memories he will be missed. So sorry for your loss. You all are in our thoughts and prayers
