Doug Inman

Doug Inman, 68, of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

Doug was born on August 23, 1957, in Potsdam, New York. He was the son of J.P. Inman and Margaret Raiver Inman. He married the love of his life Lisa Shelley in 2001. Doug served Honorably in the U.S. Army in the Military Police. This experience led to his lifelong career in law enforcement. He served with various Police Departments including Ardmore, Henrietta, Watts, Salina, Westville, Colcord and Adair County. Having worked his way through the ranks, he served as the Police Chief in Westville, Colcord and Watts. In his spare time, Doug liked to fish, sit and listen to music, and just being with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Wanda Inman and one granddaughter, Jazmine Inman.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Inman of the home; eight sons, Douglas Inman Jr (Laticia), Timothy Inman (Amanda), Adam Inman (Tara), Levi Swicegood (Jackie), Jake Swicegood (Breanna), Quinton Williams (Shyanne), Chandler Williams (Megan Rogers), and Hunter Inman; one daughter, Shelley Swicegood (Brianna); one brother, Chet Inman; two sisters, Cheryl Inman and Susan Cunah; twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs, with Chaplain Eddie Bob Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery in West Siloam Springs.
