Eddie Lue Hunter, age 85, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her residence.
Eddie Lue was born on October 15, 1940, in Brownwood, Texas, to Edward McCalister and Dollie (Bland) McCalister.
On May 4, 1958, she married the love of her life, Francis Gene Hunter, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2019. Gene and Eddie Lue spent more than 60 years together loving and serving others. Throughout her professional career, Eddie Lue dedicated herself to serving people, first at First National Bank of Midland and later as the office manager for Wagon Wheel Ranch.
Eddie Lue faithfully lived out her Christian faith through her service in children's ministry at Living Way Church in Midland, Texas. She helped facilitate and support local ministry events and shared the love of Christ with anyone she encountered. In her spare time, she enjoyed water skiing and teaching others to water ski. She was a proud mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her family and delighted in sharing stories and photographs of her son and grandchildren.
Eddie Lue is survived by her son, Joey Hunter and wife, Rebecca; and two grandchildren, Jedidiah Hunter and Jayzlee Hunter, all of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Gene.
