Edwin “Ed” James Booth, 88 of Gentry, Arkansas passed away at his home on June 6, 2026.

Ed was born in Lovell, Wyoming. He was the son of William Francis Madison Booth and Fern Loretta Owings Booth. He graduated from Billings Senior High School in Billings, Montana and attended college in Washington State. He married Janet Smith Dickhaut on May 19, 2011, at the Gentry Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ed was a machinist and welder who worked for Spring Creek Machining in Lowell, Arkansas. He loved welding and spending time taking care of his lawn. He was a member of the Gentry Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Booth; one son, David Ray Booth (Cecille); two daughters, Juanita Ann Brown (Candy) and Tammy Booth; step children, Elizabeth Robeson (David), Michael Dickhaut, Lisa Forney (Carl), Melinda Blayloc (Otto), and Makayla Booth; one brother, Gary Booth (Ellen); 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Booth and Michael James Booth; three stepchildren, Mary Ann Marshall, Jennifer Burnett and David Dickhaut; and one brother, William Francis Booth.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at a later date to be announced.

Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs is honored and privileged to be handling all final arrangements.
