Eloise Taylor

Eloise Merle Taylor, 98, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Monday, July 7, 2025 surrounded by family and love at the Quail Ridge Living Center.

She was born December 18, 1926 to Forrest Turner and Zula (Cain) Turner. Born and raised in Siloam Springs, she spent her entire life rooted in the community she cherished deeply.

Eloise was a woman known for her kindness, faith, and unwavering commitment to helping others. A devoted wife and homemaker, she also worked as a dietician at Gravette Hospital, where her care extended well beyond nutrition.

Eloise loved to cook, especially if it involved peanut butter and bananas. She was an active member of her church, where she volunteered for countless events and helped those in need through the Mana Center and other local organizations. Like her father before her, she was well-known in town-not for seeking attention, but for always showing up when someone needed a hand.

She had a playful side, too. Eloise was a huge fan of Silver Dollar City, lighting up like a kid every time she visited. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping trips with her husband, late-night domino games with her girlfriends, and long walks through her neighborhood-often stopping to pick up litter along the way, making her neighborhood just a little brighter, a little cleaner.

She is survived by her 3 children, Forrest Taylor and wife, Darla, Viva Moore, and Amy Kirk and husband, Paul; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and countless friends.

Preceding her in passage is her parents, Forrest and Zula Turner; beloved husband, Dewey J. Taylor; her sister, Rebecca Hall; and son, Dewey Randal Taylor.

A Celebration of Eloise’s Life will be held by her family and friends at a later date.

The cremation arrangements were entrusted to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR. To sign the online guestbook, please visit www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
