Emory Cleo Blackwell, 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Cleo was born February 6, 1942, in Tulia, Texas, the son of the late Lynn Blackwell and Marie (Morgan) Blackwell.
Cleo proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Cony. On November 22, 1968, he married the love of his life, Sherry Williams. Together, they shared a loving meaningful life filled with cherished memories.
Cleo worked for many years for Jones Truck Lines as a diesel mechanic. After JTL closed he worked for Wilcox as a forklift mechanic, retiring in 2000.
Cleo enjoyed fishing and hunting. He treasured spending time with his family. Cleo was a beloved husband, father, and Papa whose presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family.
Cleo is survived by his loving wife Sherry; his two sons, Justin Blackwell and wife Mistie and Shannon Blackwell; his daughter Shaunda Gray and husband James; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Cleo was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rusty Blackwell; a sister Aquila. Gilbert and a nephew, Jimmy Blackwell.
Pallbearers will be Mason Clinkscales, James Gray II, Chazdon Blackwell, Ronin Blackwell, Grayson Blackwell, Bodhi Hays. Honorary pallbearer Dreagon Blackwell
