Gerald Wayne Younger

Gerald Wayne Younger, age 88, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Blossoms of Fort Smith.

Gerald was born on October 11, 1940, in Flint, OK, the son of the late Sam Younger and Jettie (Keeton) Younger. Gerald was raised in the greater Siloam Springs Area and graduated from Watts High School.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University Gerald worked for many years as a Civil Engineer for the USDA Soil Conversation Service designing and constructing flood control dams. He was a former Elk, he loved spending time with family, gardening, fishing, and making beer and wine. Gerald enjoyed relaxing with a cold beer while looking at the sunset.

Gerald is survived his daughters, Gwen Palace and husband Mike, and Michaelle Logan and husband Garric; brothers, Sam Younger and Charles Wesley Younger; a sister, Pat Bramlett; 3 grandchildren, Michael Logan, Danica Logan, and Ryan Logan.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Gerald’s wishes, cremation was chosen and there are no services planned at this time.
