Helen Marlene Mills

Helen Marlene Mills was born December 1, 1954, in Fruita, CO, to Andrew Kyle Wilkie and Georgia Vae (Reid) Wilkie.  She passed away on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the age of 64 in Rogers, AR.

Memorial service for Helen M. Mills will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, AR, with Pastor Leo Palmer officiating.

Helen loved to do things for other people and had a huge heart made of gold.  She also enjoyed cooking, nature, thrift store shopping, spending time with her family and friends, as well as dining out and trying new restaurants.  She is the beloved mother of Salinda, Stanetta, Samantha and Stanley, all of whom love her dearly and hold her close in their hearts. She had a very special bond with her nephew KZ, her nephew Wayne, her brother Willie, and her sister Linda. She also had a very special relationship with her grandchildren and above all else, she LOVED them and they LOVED her.  She was very involved with each of her grandchildren and everything they did. They were her pride and joy and the center of everything. Family and friends meant the most to her.

Helen retired in 2016 from Zero Mountain in Johnson, AR, after 17 dedicated years.  She loved her work family as much as she loved her own family. Prior to working for Zero Mountain, she worked at Cargill in Springdale for 25 years.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one sister - Georgianna Ruth Still, and one grandson - Richard "Lee" Evans.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory, 1 Brother - William "Willie" Wilkie of Gretna, LA, 1 Sister - Linda Clark of Tontitown, AR, 3 Daughters - Salinda McDaniel (Jose Neal) of Springdale, AR - Stanetta Cook (Tyrone Harris) of Fayetteville, AR - Samantha Griffin (Tim) of Lowell, AR, 1 Son - Stanley Cook Jr (Louisa) of Springdale, AR, 13 Grandchildren - Dominic, Tovianna, Marqueil, Aariona, Ashlyn, Alonzo, Nathaniel, Austin, Matt, Daleon, Leigha, Hailey, Chasity (Jimmy), 5 Great Grandchildren - Alexis, JC, Emily, Logan, Amirah, 3 Nephews - KZ Wilkie, Wayne Crow (Sherry), Chris Clark, 6 Nieces - Lourena Ross (Brian), Lea Wilkie, Leona Montano (George), Alicia Voehl, Angela Nelson, Rebecca Tepaz, Along with numerous friends and extended family.  She will be greatly missed by all.
