James Brantley

James Edward Brantley JR, 55, of Colcord, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville.

James was born January 15, 1968 at Fort Stewart, Georgia to James Edward Brantley and Cheryl Calhoune Shutt. He was a champion of many things- honorable mentions would be his title of winning the head-butting champion; and to his family, he was the champion of being a brother and the champion of dad jokes. He had a sense of humor and a helping heart that could brighten anyone’s day up. He told many stories of his work life as a maintenance man for AERT and Little Debbie’s. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing wood work. He made the most of his life, and his family was his pride and joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Brantley of the home; father, James Brantley and step-mother, Barbara; 7 sons, Dillion Brantley of Westville, OK., James Edward Brantley III    and wife, Makayla of Prairie Grove, AR., Cody Price and wife, Katy of Colcord, OK., Tyler Price and wife, Chelsi of Kansas, OK., Dylan Price and wife, Katy Lynn of Kansas, OK., Turner Price and wife, Allison of Rose, OK., and Tanner Price and wife, Morgan of Rochester, NY; 1 daughter, Brandie Johnson and husband, Jeremy of Colcord, OK; 1 brother, Darrell Brantley of Gorham,  ME; 1 sister, Heather Brantley of Wrightsville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Peyton “Rabbit”, Carter “Peanut”, Oliver “Ollie”, Rebeccah, Fitzgerald, and Mordekai; special friend, C.D. Jordan; in-laws, Joe McFadin and Carolyn of Colcord, OK; and many other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Calhoune Shutt and brother, Danny Brantley.

A private Celebration of Life will held by the family.
