James Kenneth Heffner

James K. Heffner, age 86, of Cincinnati, Arkansas passed away Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Earlene Howard Hopsice House in Springdale, AR.

James was born on July 11, 1940, in Kennett, Missouri, the son of the late John Thomas Heffner and Catherine (Thomason) Heffner. In 1968, in Oregon, he married the love of his life, Betty McClelland and she survives.

For many years James was a plant manager for Cargill, he also drove a truck for Willis Shaw Express and for DMT. He loved “doing” for people, remodeling homes, building all kinds of things, gardening, all kinds of animals, but especially his dogs. He was a very kind person and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his loving wife, Betty; daughters, Suzanne Mathews, Angela Pollock, and Cheryl Boothe; brothers, Wayne, Jerry, Ronnie, and Bill; sisters, Cathy and Margie; 12 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tammy Vincent; a brother, Bob, and 2 sisters, Linda and Judy.

Per James’ wishes, cremation was chosen and there are no services planned at this time.
