Jimmy “Jim” L. Perry, age 80, of Highfill, AR, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville.
Jim was born on December 16, 1941 in Fayetteville, AR, the son of the late Leo Perry and Imogene (Little) Perry. Jim graduated from the Springdale High School class of 1958. On August 12, 1959 in Lowell, AR., Jim married the love of his life, Doris Straight and she survives.
Jim was co-owner of Lowell Cabinet Shop and was a master carpenter. He loved hunting, fishing, bird watching, in short, anything to do with the outdoors.
Jim is survived by his wife Doris; his daughters; Angie Clark and husband Bobby, and Robin Whitten and husband Rick; a sister June Johnson and husband Mark; a brother Bobby Perry and wife Donna; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who affectionally call him Gramps; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo Perry and Imogene (Little) Perry McCartley.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale. A funeral service will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 19, 2022 with Pastor Ron Theis officiating. Burial will be in the Highfill Cemetery, Highfill, AR.
