Jim was preceded in death by his father Sam M. Taylor, mother, Ruby M. Spears Taylor; and his wife, Judy Carol Sargent Taylor.

He is survived by his son, James M. Taylor of Rogers; step-daughters, Mary Ann Adams and husband Chris of Springdale, Arkansas; Bobye Holt and her husband, Jim Holt, of Tontitown, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Powers and her husband Jerry of Bella Vista; one brother Jerry Taylor and wife Twila of Springdale; niece, Cassie Taylor of Springdale, and a large group of extended family and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1. 2017 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  Funeral service will be held on 3:00pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the funeral home.  A private family grave site burial service will be held at a later date.  To sign the online guest book visit www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.

My condolences to the family! I spent many fun hours fishing, playing golf and going to the casinos with Jim the last 45 years! May he Rest In Peace

To Jim's family my condolences. I did know much about Jim and his life and family since high school because I never lived in NW Arkansas area. However, he was a great friend of mine at Washington Elementary school. He is at peace now in heaven, remember the good times and know you will be with him again in heaven.
