Jimmy "Jim" W Thomas

Jimmy “Jim” Wayne Thomas, 77, of Siloam Springs, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the V.A. Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Jim was born on April 22, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas; he was the son of James Otis Thomas and Reba Marie Tatum Thomas. He married Judy L. Metcalf on November 6, 1970, in Raisin City, California. Jim served Honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Siloam Springs VFW and the Siloam Springs DAV.

Jim was a salesman for many years with the Permanent Cookware Company; he later went to work for the V.A. Medical Center in Fayetteville and then transferred to the Fayetteville National Cemetery where he worked pride serving his fellow veterans and their families.

He was a member of the Community Christian Fellowship in Siloam Springs and enjoyed fishing and hunting as much as he could.

Survivors include wife, Judy Thomas of the home; children, James Thomas and wife, Melissa, of Stilwell, Okla., Tony Thomas and wife, Hannah, of Claremore, Okla.; grandchildren, Cory Thomas and wife, Erica, of Grove, Okla., Cody Thomas of Stilwell, Okla., Corey Chapman of Siloam Springs, Ark., Cody Chapman of Rogers, Ark., Eden and Jordan Thomas of Claremore, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, Andrea, Evaine, and Terrek; sister, Veneta Thomas of Olympia, Wash.; brother, Roy Thomas of Watts, Okla.; sister, Jennie Willis of Siloam Springs, Ark. Jim is also survived by numerous family, friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Otis and Reba Marie; brothers, William D. Thomas, Joe Thomas and William O. Thomas; and an infant sister.

A Gathering of Friends will be held at the Community Christian Fellowship on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at. 1:00pm.
