Joanie Marie Harrison

Joanie Marie Harrison, age 69, of Salina Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Kansas Oklahoma on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Joanie was born on May 20, 1956 in Pryor Oklahoma to Angie Bell (Littlefield) Rolus and Charles Lafaye Vernon.

Joanie was a devoted mother, Nanny (grandmother/great-grandmother) and friend. Her life was centered around caring for her family, which she took great pride in, and always did her best at putting them first. Throughout her life, Joanie was a very hard and dedicated worker. She held various positions; a factory worker, a surveyor and serving in the school cafeteria, but most of her years she served up service with a smile and the best dining experience as a waitress. Joanie enjoyed the simple life and its joys. She loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, yardwork and animals. Her passion was to become a veterinarian. But her favorite pastime was playing Yahtzee, oh boy, could she ever throw dice, beat you everytime. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, raising dogs and watching crime shows (She probably could’ve committed a crime and got away with it). Joanie especially enjoyed spending time with her daughter Kimberly, her family and friends. Joanie was a Christian, who deeply loved and believed in the Lord. She remained strong in her faith while fighting a hard fight, she had such a huge heart, a true warrior.

Joanie is survived by her very best friend and daughter, Kimberly Harrison. Her four grandchildren; Sage Harrison and wife Caitlin of Rose OK, Conner Boroughs and wife Madison; Easton Wiggins and wife Kyndall, all of Kansas OK. Cory Snider and wife Shyla of Westville OK. Eight great-grandchildren; Kodah Harrison, Wrenlee Harrison, Aiden Garcia, Cove Boroughs, Maevry Boroughs, Kynston Wiggins, Nevaeh Snider, Waylon Snider, and she was anticipating the soon arrival of baby Wiggins. She is also survived by one sister, Anna Rolus. Two brothers, Frankie Rolus and Charlie Vernon. Her lifelong best friend, Margaret Jackson. Two special friends Mary Parvin and Lewis Miller, as well as a host of friends and family.

Joanie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Johnny Harrison. Her son, Bobby Snider. Her parents Angie and Henry Rolus, and Charles Vernon. Her brothers; Waco Vernon, Randy Rolus and Jimmy Rolus. Her sisters; Virginia Vernon, Jessie Edwards and Susie Bynum. As well as two angel great-grandbabies.

Pallbearers will be Sage Harrison, Conner Boroughs, Easton Wiggins and Lewis Miller. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Rest easy and fly high beautiful, you will forever be in our hearts.
