John Junior Donohew

John Junior Donohew, 79, of Gentry, Arkansas passed away Thursday. September 4, 2025, at the Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

Junior was born on January 24, 1946, in Anderson Missouri. He was one of eleven children born to John Donohew and Martha Owens Donohew. He married Catherine Conklin in Huntsville, Arkansas, who preceded him in death in 2014. Junior worked several jobs in his life including construction, farming and as a mechanic. He enjoyed very much going to auctions.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Catherine; his son, Troy Donohew; four brothers, Bob Donohew, Sam Donohew, Billy Donohew and Jimmy Donohew; along with two sisters, Imy Thompson and a baby girl Donohew.

He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Gray (Clayton) of Gentry; two brothers, Layman Donohew (Kathi) and Lee Donohew (Judy); two sisters, Mary Holland, and Linda Mercer (Darrel); two grandchildren, Stephanie Mongold and Brooke Lewis; two great grandchildren, Devin Bookless and Aubrey Lewis; along with many other family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs at 11:00am. Pastor Roy Haffelder will officiate the service with burial will be held at the Fairmount Cemetery near Gentry.
