Joseph William Hendricks

Joseph William Hendricks, 81, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

He was born on June 26, 1944, in Oaklawn, Illinois, the son of the late Joseph William Hendricks and Emily (Zakopian) Hendricks.

Joseph had served as a president of the Little League Field in Mendota, IL, for many years. Joseph was an avid reader; he had read the encyclopedia from A to Z. He liked to read the history of WWI and WWII; he also enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and doing Sudoku puzzles.

Joseph is survived by his daughters, Laura Jackson and Lisa Smith; a sister, Debbie Whitt; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Joseph William “Joey” Hendricks Jr.

Interment for Joseph will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Mendota, Illinois, under the direction of Horner-Merrett Funeral Home.
