Kathy Lorrayne Brown

Kathryn Lorrayne Brown, 66, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.

Kathy was born on September 21, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts to Ward and Lorrayne Trammell. She married Wayne Lee Brown, Sr. on June 24, 1972 in Siloam Springs, AR. They shared a loving 34 years together until his passing in 2007. Throughout her time, she enjoyed baking, talking with her family, friends, and even strangers. Her friendly ability to make conversation allowed her to never meet a stranger. She was a godly woman who loved serving in her church.

She is survived by her mother, Norma “Lorrayne” Trammell of Siloam Springs, AR; 1 son, Wayne Brown, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Alma, AR; 2 daughters, Cortney Brown of Alexandria, VA and Shaunna Davis and husband, Jeffrey of Nashville, TN; 1 brother, Michael Trammell of Rogers, AR; and 7 grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Kaylee Brown, Rylee Brown, Jaxon Brown, Dylan Brown, Anna Brown, and Emmalynn Brown all of Alma, AR.

A visitation and gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 9:00am-11:00am at the First Baptist Church in Van Buren, AR.

The graveside service will follow on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 2:30pm at Allen Cemetery in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.  An optional viewing will be held graveside from 2:00-2:30pm.
