Kenneth A Myers

Kenneth A. Myers, 69, of Siloam Springs, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Kenneth was born on November 23, 1949 in Rolla, Kansas, a son of Charles Edward Myers and Eula Mae Day Myers. He married Laverna Moser on February 5, 1976 in Guymon, Oklahoma. Kenneth was a truckdriver for many years, driving for Simmons Foods before his retirement and had owned and operated a wrecker service. He was a member of the Gentry Church of Christ. He loved the outdoors especially doing yard work and gardening. He loved animals, his dog Scooter and feeding the wildlife from his front porch. He enjoyed watching wrestling, restoring his Corvette, playing guitar, metal detecting with his son and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Laverna Myers of the home; one son, Kevin and wife Shawna Myers of Sallisaw, OK; one daughter, Cherice and husband Jeff Ward of Gentry, AR; four brothers, Bill Myers of Liberal, Kansas, Gene Myers of Liberal, Kansas, Warren Myers and wife Barbara of Rolla, Kansas and Jimmy Myers of Haviland, Kansas; one sister, Kathy and husband Rick Rawlins of Dolan Springs, Arizona; five grandsons, Alex Wiebe and wife Ash, Travis Myers, Dylan Wiebe, Matt Myers and L. J. Ward; along with a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Jo; one brother, Brad Myers; two sisters, Eva Baldwin and Yvonne Moore.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral service will be held at the Gentry Church of Christ on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3:00pm. Minister Bruce Potter will officiate the service.
