Kimberly Dawn Masters, 57, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, May 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband, son, and daughter at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.
Kim was born November 27, 1967, in Springfield, Tennessee, the youngest of four daughters raised by a single mom. From her mom she inherited a fierce work ethic and unshakable determination—qualities that powered a remarkable 36‑year career with Walmart. Beginning as an hourly optician in Anderson, Indiana, Kim was promoted to optical manager within a year and never stopped climbing the ladder. Although she once said her biggest regret was not earning a college degree, her accomplishments spoke louder than any diploma.
Beyond work, Kim’s life was rich with color and fun. She could usually be found tending her flower garden; planning the next adventure with Dan; winning any card or board game that crossed her path; or doting on her miniature dachshunds, Charli and Marli, at the pool. She gave her time and strategic mind to causes she believed in, including serving on the strategic‑planning teams for multiple local and national non-profit organizations.
Kim greeted everyone—executives and store associates alike—with a bright smile, a firm handshake, and her trademark introduction: “Hi, I’m Kim Masters.” Her faith anchored her, and drew strength and peace from her relationship with Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Daniel “Dan” Masters; two children, Tyler Masters and Morganne Masters, her adored dachshunds Charli and Marli; and a host of extended family, friends, and colleagues who will miss her steady kindness and compassionate heart.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Soales, and two sisters, Sharon and Hope.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 10a.m. on Thursday, May 8th at First Baptist Church of Lowell in Lowell, Arkansas. A graveside service will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice or your local animal shelter.
Her family and friends agree that Kim was, in every sense, “too good for this world.” May her legacy of warmth, resilience, and unwavering love continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
