Laney Grace Carrell

Laney Grace Carrell, age 2 days, of Gentry, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 surrounded by family, at the Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.

Laney Grace was born on April 12, 2026, in Rogers, Arkansas, the daughter of Jared Carrell and Haylee (Burgess) Carrell.

Laney means “bright shining light” and Grace means “blessing and the unearned love and mercy given by God”. In her brief time on earth, Laney Grace was exactly that. She was a bright light who brought many people together in prayer, and a blessing to all who had the honor of meeting her. She spent every moment of her precious life surrounded by love. Her life, though far too short, reminds us of the love and mercy that God freely gives and the gift of an eternity we will spend with Laney Grace someday because of it. Though this loss is indescribably difficult, we find comfort in knowing that she is safe, whole, and in the presence of Jesus.

Laney Grace is survived by her loving parents, Jared and Haylee Carrell; her big sister, Sutton Rose Carrell; her grandparents, Vince and Renee Carrell and David and Rebecca Burgess; her great-grandmother, Lera Smith; her great-grandparents, David and Karyn Burgess; her aunts and uncles, Nathan Carrell, Ashley Carrell, Jacob Burgess and his wife, MaKayla (Swinnea) Burgess, Hannah (Burgess) Blackketter and her husband, Luke Blackketter, and Leah Burgess; and her cousins, Cody Burgess and Levi Blackketter.

Funeral services for Laney Grace will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Victory Assembly, located at 1407 N Carl Street, Siloam Springs, AR with Pastor Carl Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
