Leone Maggie O'Donnell

Leone Maggie O’Donnell, 101, of Siloam Springs, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at her home.

Leone was born on March 19, 1918 near Fayetteville, Arkansas, a daughter of John Francis Hulsizer and Nora Mary Elisabeth Oxford Hulsizer. She was the widow of the late Harry O’Donnell who preceded her in death in 1994.  Leone was a home maker who assisted Harry in the Gemologist business grading diamonds and other gems. She was a fantastic cook, famous for her Pecan Pie. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, had a love for dogs and was known as an excellent marksman with her pistol, killing many rattlesnakes while living in Texas. Harry would always say that he made the living and Leone made life worth living.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Lena Hamilton, Grace Warford and Dicie McGarrah; four brothers, Emons, Cecil, Lloyd and Floyd Hulsizer; two nieces, Linda Sisemore and Phyllis Stephenson.

She is survived by several nephews, nieces and other family members.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Saturday. November 2, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Graveside service will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00pm.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. To sign online guestbook please go to www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
