Mardean Renee Perdue, 58 beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went to her heavenly home surrounded by the love of her family.
Mardean was born to Don and Sharron Koons in Phoenix, AZ. She attended Colcord School, where she made lifelong friends and cherished memories that stayed with her throughout her life.
From a young age, she had a caring heart and a love for helping others. As a teenager, she served as a Candy Striper at Siloam Springs Hospital. There she discovered how much she enjoyed volunteering and caring for people. That heart for service stayed with her throughout her life.
Mardean was married to Larry Perdue of Rose, Oklahoma, and together they built a family she deeply loved. She was a devoted mother to Chris Perdue, Brandon McGarrah, and Kyle Perdue.
More than anything, Mardean loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren; Layla Perdue, Nolen Perdue, Dillon Perdue, Kyaleigh Perdue, Bentley Perdue, Marcie Perdue, Nadalie Perdue, Anna Perdue, Timothy Phifer, Luna McGarrah, Blysten McGarrah , and Zofia McGarrah were the joy of her life. She lived for her family and found her greatest happiness in loving, supporting, and spending time with them.
Mardean also enjoyed her work at the Kansas School District, Flint Ridge Restaurant and Heavenly Stitches, where she made many connections and friendships through the years.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Perdue; her mother, Sharron Koons; her children, Chris Perdue, Brandon McGarrah, and Kyle Perdue; her grandchildren; and her siblings, Don Koons, Lesa Rissler, and Bryant Mullins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Koons, and sister, Regina Koons.
Mardean will be remembered for her love of family, her giving spirit, and the joy she found in caring for those around her. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will forever be treasured by all who loved her.
