Michael Earl Dewey, Jr., 45, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma Passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Michael was born on August 6, 1981 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the son of Michael Earl Dewey Sr and Opal Louise Gatewood Payne. He was a self-employed Journeyman Plumber.

Michael was an outdoors man who loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, treasure hunting and looking for Bigfoot. He was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. In his spare time, he enjoyed building, inventing, and belting karaoke. He was known for his great, booming laugh and being a renowned practical joker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Dewey Sr and one sister, Mariessa Dewey.

He is survived by his mother, Opal Payne of Colcord, Oklahoma; two daughters, Aaliah Farris (Matthew) of Kansas, Oklahoma and Makayla Difrancisco (Raven) of Kansas, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Noah Dewey of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Avonlea and Irelia Farris; two brothers, Matt Dewey (Andrea) of Siloam Springs, and Caleb Payne (“K”) of Colcord; one sister, Michelle Walker (Jason) of Gentry; along with many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
