Miguel Sierra-Yanez

Miguel Angel Sierra-Yanez, 60, of Gentry, Arkansas passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Miguel was born March 1, 1964 in La Union, El Salvador to Victoriano Sierra and Anastacia Yanez. He was a Godly man who loved preaching, making people laugh, and taking care of his kids. He was proudly the founding pastor of the Iglesia Asamblea Principe de Paz in Siloam Springs. Some believe, his prayers are what protected them throughout life and got them to where they are today. He had a strong heart and was a hard worker. He took pride in self-care by always being well-dressed and having long conversations with his family and friends. He was very thankful for all of his blessings-big or small. His family finds peace in knowing that he takes on his middle name, Angel, by being their guardian Angel now.

He is survived by his 4 sons, Daniel Sierra of Kansas City, Missouri, James Sierra of Gentry, Arkansas, Johnathan Sierra of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and his youngest-pride and joy, Josue Sierra of Colcord, Oklahoma; the mother of his sons, Yesenia Cuellar; 4 siblings, Amadeo Sierra, Ana Maria Sierra, Julio Sierra, Juventia Sierra; and many other loved ones. 

The visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 5:00PM-overnight at Iglesia Asamblea Principe de Paz. The funeral procession will leave at 11:00AM, Thursday, May 23, 2024 from the Iglesia Asamblea Principe de Paz to the Oak Hill Cemetery for burial. Pastor Leoncio Romero will be officiating the service. Pallbearers will be James Sierra, Daniel Sierra, Josue Sierra, Johnathan Sierra, Jose Cuellar, Amadeo Sierra-Yanez, Christian Mojica, & Jorge Perez.

Miguel Ángel Sierra-Yáñez, de 60 años, de Gentry, Arkansas, falleció pacíficamente el viernes 17 de mayo de 2024 en el Centro Médico Regional de Washington en Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Miguel nació el 1 de marzo de 1964 en La Unión, El Salvador, hijo de Victoriano Sierra y Anastacia Yanez. Era un hombre piadoso al que le encantaba predicar, hacer reír a la gente y cuidar a sus hijos. Fue orgullosamente el pastor fundador de la Iglesia Asamblea Príncipe de Paz en Siloam Springs. Algunos creen que sus oraciones son las que los protegieron durante toda la vida y los llevaron a donde están hoy. Tenía un corazón fuerte y era un gran trabajador. Se enorgullecía del cuidado personal de estar siempre bien vestido y de tener largas conversaciones con su familia y amigos. Estaba muy agradecido por todas sus bendiciones, grandes o pequeñas. Su familia encuentra paz al saber que él adopta su segundo nombre, Ángel, al ser ahora su ángel guardián.

Le sobreviven sus 4 hijos, Daniel Sierra de Kansas City, Missouri, James Sierra de Gentry, Arkansas, Johnathan Sierra de Siloam Springs, Arkansas, y su orgullo y alegría más joven, Josue Sierra de Colcord, Oklahoma; la madre de sus hijos, Yesenia Cuellar; 4 hermanos, Amadeo Sierra, Ana María Sierra, Julio Sierra, Juventia Sierra; y muchos otros seres queridos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 22 de mayo de 2024 a partir de las 5:00 p. m. durante la noche en la Iglesia Asamblea Príncipe de Paz. La procesión fúnebre saldrá a las 11:00 a. m. del jueves 23 de mayo de 2024 desde la Iglesia Asamblea Príncipe de Paz hasta el cementerio Oak Hill para su entierro. El pastor Leoncio Romero estará oficiando el servicio.
