Mildred “Millie” Mae Turner, 74, a resident of Westfork, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Millie was born on February 17, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of John Russell Turner and Betty Dennis Turner. Millie attended the American College in Fayetteville. She owned and operated the Turner Tax Service for 50 years and was awarded the Service Spirit Award in 2023. She was a member of the Impact Church in Rogers and a member of the Elks Lodge in Fayetteville. She had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoyed spending time at the lake, and had a passion for all sports.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Johnny Turner and Russell Paul Turner.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Shawn Johnson and wife, Michelle of Siloam Springs; her sister, Carolyn Blackard and husband, C.O. of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Darcie Stamps of Fayetteville, and Ashley Gonzales and husband, Luis of Hindsville; five step grandchildren, Billy, Stuart, Joey, Erika and Charlotte; five great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10:00 am. Pastor Larry Marler will officiate the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
