Ruby Nadine Gatewood, 78, of Colcord, OK passed away Wednesday, Feb 7, 2018 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.

Nadine was born on November 8, 1939 in Swift City, Missouri, a daughter of Alonzo Dea Arnold and Ruby E. Choate Arnold. She married the late Leroy Gatewood, on Aug 17, 1955 in Jay, OK, who preceded her in death in 2012. Nadine and Leroy operated a sawmill, with Nadine working side by side with Leroy. She was a Christian lady who enjoyed, fishing, sewing, was an excellent cook and loved going out to eat and traveling with her daughters and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nadine is survived by three daughters, Velma Favor and husband Wayne, Elania Amos and husband Mike and Angela Janes all of Colcord; one brother, Gilbert Arnold of West Siloam Springs; one sister Virgie Lillard of Sallisaw, OK; four grandchildren, Brian Morgan, Megan Langley, Melissa Amos and Justin Janes; three great grandchildren, Cash Morgan, Brynlee Morgan and Kylee Langley.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Delbert, Richard, and L.D. Arnold, Thomas and David Putman, and one sister, Dovey Richardson.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Allen Cemetery. Brother Calvin Pathkiller will officiate the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. To sign online guestbook please go to www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
