Norene Barnes

Norene Evelyn Barnes, 92, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away peacefully Saturday, July 15, 2023 at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale.

Norene was born April 18, 1931 in Conneaut, Ohio to Charlie and Treva Chapin. She was a Godly woman and loved her family. She retired from Arkansas State Bank after a lengthy employment. She had many hobbies, such as cooking, cross-stitching, reading, gardening, piecing together puzzles, and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. She stayed active and lived her life to the fullest with many blessings.  

She is survived by her son, Danny Barnes and wife, Gwyn of Springdale, AR; daughter, Linda Barnes-Bull and husband, Don of Gainesville, GA; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Bull, Jennifer Bull-Schimek, Jason Bull, Britt Barnes, and Yalonda Barnes-Pinnell; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Emmett Barnes; her parents; and 5 siblings.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. Pastor Kirk Shelton and Pastor Dennis Cottrell will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery of Siloam Springs.
