Norma Jean Hartin

Norma Jean Hartin of Springdale departed this life in Rogers and began her eternal life with Jesus Christ November 26, 2023. She was born November 2, 1941 in Springdale, the daughter of Albert and Annis Mae (Howard) Fields. Norma grew up in Springdale, graduating from Springdale High School.

She married George Hartin in Springdale April 30, 1967 and they had a son, Chris, and a daughter, Leslie. They lived in the Tulsa-Bixby, Oklahoma area for 20 years, moving to NW Arkansas in 1987 where they have remained. Norma has spent the majority of her time taking care of her family but also had more than 20 years working retail.

Norma is survived by her husband George of the home; son Chris Hartin (Traci) of Prairie Grove and daughter Leslie Sheridan (Jason) of Rogers; grandchildren Bradley Hartin (Kaitlin) of Prairie Grove, Mattie Bartholomew (Coby) of Prairie Grove, Taylor Faulk (Blake) of Fayetteville, and Emma Sheridan of Rogers; and a brother Sonny Fields (Sharon) of Springdale.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Barbara Martin and Beverly King.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff on hall 200 of Jamestown Health & Rehab for their kindness and care during Norma’s stay there.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 1 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale followed by burial in Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation will be November 30 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Rogers Missions Fund or to the cemetery.
