Oma “Kay” Marveggio, 77, of Colcord, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her home.
Kay was born on October 1, 1940 to Harvey and Clarice Hays in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She married Therlow Marveggio on June 27, 1959 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She worked for Walmart for 20 years. Throughout her wonderful life, she helped on the farm with Therlow, she handmade many quilts, knitted, crochet, played the piano and sung in a trio. She also enjoyed singing at the Gospel Lighthouse Church where she attended.
She is survived by her husband, Therlow of the home; 1 brother, John “Big John” Hays; numerous nephews and nieces, and many other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Jackson Hays and Clarice Ruby Embry-Hays; her 2 sisters, Mary Hays-Biswell and Cordelia Hays-Carroll; and 2 brothers, Vernon Hays and Bob Hays.
The visitation for Kay will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5:00-8:00. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel at 10:00am with Pastor David Tallè with burial following at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
