Oneda Neal, age 98, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas.
She was born October 4, 1927, in Ball Creek, Arkansas, to the late Charlie Edens and Allie Hubbard Edens.
Oneda dedicated many years working in Quality Control for George’s. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and found purpose in serving others through volunteer work at The Jones Center for Families and Northwest Medical Center. She had a creative spirit and loved crocheting, gardening, canning, and restoring, cleaning, and collecting dolls. She also enjoyed flea markets and yard sales and had a booth at a flea market where she shared her treasures and connected with others.
She is survived by her daughters, Helen Friend and husband Rodney, Norma Neal and partner Nora Elizalde, and Sharon Martin Caldwell and husband Mike; grandchildren, Thommy Greer and wife Bekah, Bryan Martin and wife Steph, Keeley Hensley, and Jesse Caldwell; and great-grandchildren, Afton, Ethan, Oliver, Andrew, Aaron, and Alex.
Oneda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Neal; brother, Norman Edens; and sister, LaVonna Dobson.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Berry Street Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
