Peggy Lee White

Peggy Lee White, 67, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away at her home on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

Peggy was born on August 15, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of William Oliver Knight and Pauline Leatherberry Knight.  She married Stephen A. White on April 24, 1993 in Lewisville. Texas. As a devout baker, Peggy owned and operated Piece of Cake in Siloam Springs for several years. However, baking and cooking were only a few of the ways in which she showed her love for others. Peggy never met a stranger; once you knew her, you were family. She had an infectious personality which radiated into everything she did.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen White of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Becker and Thomas Becker, both of Flower Mound, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer French of Lewisville, Texas; six grandchildren, Ronnie Eernisse, Daphanie Hervig, Justin French, Dakota Becker, Jarrett French and Zane Becker; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Butch Knight of Harrington, KS and Joe Knight of Roseville, CA; three sisters, Betty Teague of Watts, OK, Sue Knight of Garden City, KS and Doyleen Barnes of Holcomb, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Evelyn Curl and Connie Gibson.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.  Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. To sign online guestbook please go to www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.

Mama Peggy. You made the best cinnamon rolls. Of course I'm sure the reason they tasted so good is the hugs you always gave with them. The birthday cakes you made for my kids. When we ran into each other a couple of years later when you worked at Harps. When you found out about the loss of my grandson and you held me and rocked me. Told me how much you loved me and how many times you have thought of me and the kids over the years. My world is more tinged with gray around the edges knowing we won't stumble into each other in this place. Thank you Peggy for always somehow being there by God's grace and giving me one of your incredible "Mom" hugs. They helped me hold my head a little higher at times.
