Remmel Reece Taylor, 95, of Lowell, Arkansas passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Remmel was born on September 1, 1925 in Wayton, Arkansas. He was the son of Sherman Taylor and Martha Snow Taylor. He was the widow of the late Elewee Iva Taylor who preceded him in death on August 13, 2018. Remmel worked as a logger cutting logs and as a forklift operator for the Union Carbide Company (currently Glad). He attended the First Freewill Baptist Church in Lowell. Remmel enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and wood working along with spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Eddie and wife Phyllis Taylor of Lowell, and Michael and wife Andria of Deer, Arkansas; one daughter, Carla Pendergraft of Elm Springs, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Shawn Dixon, Timmy Taylor, Shane Taylor, Steven Taylor, Wesley Taylor, Angie Randolph, Zabrina Randolph, Jimmy Lee Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Kenny Pendergraft and Shea Pendergraft; along with many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Jimmy Taylor, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Elm Springs Cemetery with Military Honors.
