Roy Dale Reimer

Roy Dale Reimer, 66, of Kansas, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his home.

Roy was born August 13, 1956 in Fowler, Kansas to Levi and Elizabeth Reimer. Roy grew up on a farm in Meade, Kansas with an older brother, Jerry, and a younger sister, Carol. While in high school he worked for local farmers, harvest crews and in a tractor repair shop. After high school he attended Grace Bible Institute for two years and then later attended Liberal, KS Votec and received a diesel mechanic certification.

During these years he went on a couple of missions trips, one to Belize in Central America and another to Alaska with Artic Missions using his maintenance skills to help people.

He also owned a couple of small businesses.  First was a grain bin installation company that traveled throughout the western Kansas area. Then he got into vehicle sales eventually owning his own car dealership. During this time he acquired a ski boat and enjoyed taking groups to the lake, helping others learn to water ski.

A few years later, he moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas to work maintenance at New Life Ranch and to be closer to his nephews and niece helping them develop many practical skills. He also managed numerous farm properties for elderly owners in the area. He eventually settled in Kansas, OK and for many years assisted Jackson Electric with electrical projects.

Through all these years, Roy had a strong faith in God. Although he did not fit easily into organized religion, he wanted his life to reflect God’s love and truth to others as he interacted with them each day. Loving and caring for people was his main priority and that is how he will be remembered.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Reimer, and wife Martha of Siloam Springs, AR; sister, Carol Reimer of Kansas, OK; 2 nephews, Caleb Reimer and wife, Jenna of New Jersey, Luke Reimer and wife, Clara of Camden, AR; niece, Abigail “Abby” Reimer of Siloam Springs, AR; numerous cousins; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Roy’s Life will be held 10:00am, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at LifePoint Fellowship Church located at 270 Mason Street, Kansas, OK 74347. Bro Don Genandt will officiate the service.

The cremation rites were entrusted per Roy’s wishes to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR. To sign the online guestbook, please visit www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.

It is better to spend your time at funerals than at festivals. For you are going to die and it is a good thing to think about it while there is still time. Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us. Yes, a wise man thinks much of death, while a foolish man thinks only of having a good time now.   Solomon,  Ecclesiastes 7:2-4 LB
