Ruth Ann Suttles

Ruth Ann Suttles, 80, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville.

Ruth was born on October 26, 1941, in Keota, Oklahoma. She was one of twelve children born to Hubert Brown and Grace Whitson Brown. Ruth attended the University of Arkansas where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Education. She taught many years at the Kansas High School, teaching Home Economics.  Ruth was a member of the Heritage Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, reading, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by ten siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerrell Suttles of the home; one daughter, Susan Suttles and husband Brad Green of Oark, Arkansas; and one sister, Sue Fuselier of Dallas, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 10:00am at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel.  Pastor Delmar Hume will officiate the services, with burial being conducted at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
