Sheila Tilghman-Carter

Sheila Tilghman-Carter, 64, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Rogers, Arkansas.

Sheila was born on June 16, 1954 to Herbert and Edna Brungardt in Bennett, Colorado. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, crossword puzzles, traveling, and spending time with her grandkids. She cherished family time.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert “David” Brungardt and Edna Mae Bell-Brungardt; her husband, Rex Tilghman; and brother, Brian Brungardt.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Carter of the home; 2 sons, Jeff Tilghman and wife, Andrea of Siloam Springs, AR and Chad Tilghman of Siloam Springs, AR; 1 daughter, Tina Smith and husband, Wayne of Kansas, OK; 2 brothers, Gary Brungardt and wife, Bernie of Colorado, and Greg Tilghman and husband, David Starlin of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 sisters, Jo Richardson of Denver, CO and Mary Herbaugh and husband, Robert of Jay, OK; 15 grandchildren, Jackie, Nikki, Kaitlyn, Blair, Andrew, Daeton, McKinzey, Thai. Faith, Miranda, Anna, Alandrea, Chaise, Abigail, and Blaike; 2 great-grandchildren, Daisy and Domonic; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, AR. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00am at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. Pastor Leroy Bilby will officiate the service.
