Susan L Combs

Susan Lynne Combs, age 75, of Fayetteville, AR passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Fayetteville Health and Rehab in Fayetteville. Susan was born on October 6, 1947 in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of the late Author C Harless and Mary Letha (McFall) Harless.

On August 15, 2003 in Fayetteville, AR., after being together since July of 1970, Susan married the love of her life Allen Wayne Combs and he preceded her in death in 2016.

Susan worked for many years as a custodian at the University of Arkansas but at heart she was a seamstress. Susan loved to sew, crochet, and collect Cobalt Blue Glass and butterflies. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing.

Susan is survived by her loving children; Darren Lee Scott and wife Diana and Tammy O’Neill and husband William, Raymond Charles Scott and wife Renee; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 4 nieces and 2 nephews, all who were very dear to her.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Per Susan’s wishes cremation was chosen. There will be a Celebration of Life held at Drake Field in Fayetteville on January 28, 2023 from 12 noon till 4pm.
