Ted Weathers went to be with his Lord and Savior, while surrounded by his family on Easter Sunday April 5, 2026. Ted was born on May 5, 1941 to Rogene and Mabel Weathers in Columbia MO. He grew up in the Siloam Springs, AR area. Ted graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 1959, and from college with a BS of Education from John Brown University in 1964. From youth through young adulthood Ted was a member of Bible Memory Association, memorizing many portions of scripture, and frequently quoting many. He married his loving and caring wife, Jane Weathers on August 6, 1965. He taught school spending most of that time in Christian education at Berean Christian School in Olathe Kansas. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs. He was a member of the Siloam Springs Writers Guild and served as president for a short time. He enjoyed writing essays about our freedoms. Ted really enjoyed singing, puns, silly stories, games, photography, and deep conversations with relatives where a lot of hairs (or “hares”) were split. Ted is survived by his wife Jane, two sisters, Donna (and Andy) Bowling, Barbara (and Terry) Weber, one brother, Bob (and Judy) Weathers, three sons: Leland (and Christina), Kent (and Heidi), Jeremy (and Aleasia), and six grandchildren (Dylan, Connor, Emma, Paxton, Joshua & Tate).
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Missions Fund at the First Baptist Church, 2000 N Dawn Hill Rd, Siloam Springs, AR 72761.
