Victor provided his personal eulogy in his many writings and is as follows:

There comes a time when all do pass,

And rent this veil of tears,

To go before the Lord of Hosts,

After life’s long challenged years.

There, the tears of the earth are dried,

The hidden things made clear.

There, the works of life are tried,

By a juster judge than here….
