Kennard "Odean" Davis of Gentry, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 1st, 2020 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas, at the age of 65.
Odean was born October 9th, 1955 to James Charles "JC" Davis and Alice Cordelia Pittman- Davis in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He enjoyed working on cars especially the Monte Carlo, reading, watching TV, truck driving, vacationing with his family, travelling, singing at church, and being with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Meyer- Davis; 4 sons, Jessy Pettit, Harvi Davis, Christian Davis, Brian Davis; 3 daughters, Marcia Livesay, Dorene Davis, Elaine Sarbia; 4 brothers, James "Jimmy" Davis, Bobby Davis, Brian "David" Davis, and Danny Davis; 1 sister Alice "Charlene" Williams; 19 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; lots of friends; his coworker of 19 years James coffin, and many other loved ones.
Odean was a devoted husband Father, Papa, and friend. He enjoyed his family above all. He was dedicated to the church and loved singing for the Lord.
He was a dedicated to working as a truck driver for Cobb Vantress and was the Ryder National Driver of the year in 2018. He enjoyed spending time with his co-driver of 19 years; James Coffin, with not ever having one argument. In his 30 years of driving he had only called in sick 2 times. Before working at Cobb Vantress he was a mechanic for many years. He had a love for working on vehicles.
Odean will be most remembered for the love he had for his family and his ability to make every situation seem ok. He became the Patriarch of his family after the passing of his father. He will be deeply missed by so many.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at Souls Harbor Church in Chewey, Oklahoma at 10:00 a.m.
